Kinda lately

We've been a tad slow on the bloggin front lately, mainly because my computer doesn't like the blogger website it goes bonkers and opens a thousands internet explorers...hmmm, any ideas?

Well right now we have Serin (Saebo's girlfriend) who's parents are enjoying themselves in Las Vegas. Saebo luurrves having Serin around to play with, its pretty amusing watching them play tug of war.
Though Serin is slightly stubborn and only listens if thats what she wants to do at that moment...note the moose below was charging her across the driveway. Awesome.

On thursday night we had our friends over for dinner, as Sara and I were sipping some bubbles the boys decided to go saw off the chopping board, because thats just what boys do right?

I drove to Anchorage early last week and it was perhaps one of the most beautiful sunrises I've seen over Turnagain Arm, it's very exciting to have a Bad A** camera to play around with.

Yesterday it was the most beautiful day so we decided to take the boat out for a lil spin,  the kids were very excited with all the sniffing opportunities..Saebo lurrves to ride the bow.

Back in the harbour I stalked some sea otters who were so busy feeding they didn't seem to mind my massive lens pointing towards them. So cute!

And I cannot forget to mention that Craig got a new Macbook computer which I am obviously very jealous of-but seeming his old computer screen had turned blue he was slightly head of me in the crap-computer department. At least now I have the excuse to use it for blogging ;)

The Big Freeze

We've been having chilly, but clear weather up until now on our holiday...this picture above was Tuesday morning, this picture below was Wednesday morning.

and here's the garden..before and after...

Hmmm....this is some serious Arctic weather. Being from Alaska it seems a tad absurd I would say that, but in my whole life I've seen snow maybe 4 times at my parents, and normally its a light dusting that disappears by 11am. Well, after about 10 inches fell, the country has shut down. Cars are abandoned, shops are out of milk and Craig's passport is lost in the mail which is just fantastic! I'm not going to go into details about the slight foolishness of my husband and the complete shutdown of customer service in England that has resulted in us being stranded. Flights are being cancelled and the motorways are closed so we are stuck here till atleast Monday! I'm secretly excited about a longer holiday but I seriously miss my dog who is in doggie jail. We are heading back to London  (by train as this is the only possible way of travel right now) staying in a fab hotel courtesy of the imbeciles that work there.

Oh, and we are getting more snow tonight apparently. Awesome.

Arundel

We headed to the lovely town of Arundel about 15 mins from my parents house, its a cute little town with a castle (of course) though its closed to the public in the winter.

We strolled around the lanes doing some antique shopping on the way.

We then headed to the Wildfowl and Waterfowl Trust (WWT) in Arundel which is a birders dream. Its one of my favourite places as you get to see so many different types of birds from all over the world.
.

Craig bought me the most awesome new SLR digital camera for Christmas so I did some serious bird shooting and depleted my battery in about 30 mins. Here's some of my fav pics from the day:

There was the funniest moment when Craig was feeding a Trumpetor Swan but unfortunately we were out of camera juice by then ;)

I would like to spend a bunch of time writing and telling the story about all these fantastic adventures that we are participating in.... but actually we have an adventure we need to go on right now... so thanks for tuning in to the short story!!
