Hoorah!

So, after much cursing my computer I downloaded Google Chrome and I can access blogger from my computer using this! Yay!

I've been wanting to blog about the boat move that happened while Craig was home from the slope last time, I find it very exciting to see a huge boat cruising down the street but Craig has seen it too many times to share my enthuasiam.

well first, we cruise over the boat lift port in the harbour...pic above yes?  You can also see the massive straps in the water, which obviously go under the boat to lift it out.

Then we get off the boat and its gets lifted up by the coolest remote control toy on the planet..

Then the dang boat just goes down the road!

...and Ta-Da! At the boatyard the dudes put the blocks under then the tripod thingys and its all good till summer!

Its that just thrilling?!

Hawaii Bound

So some of you may know already but Craig and I are off to the Big Island of Hawaii for 3 months!

I got a job working for the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center, which is through the Zoological Society of San Diego. Basically I'm going to be caring for captive hawaiian birds that are all pretty much critically endangered...they are trying to breed these species for reintroduction programs.

I'm super excited and Craig is stoked to be spending his 2 weeks off in between work to come play on the Big Island.

We are going to be living in a small town called Volcano, right on the outskirts of the Volcano National Park. But don't worry, it it blows the West side gets it (Yes I googled it)

Our dog Saebo is coming with us too, he has been the biggest obstacle trying to get him all set for direct release at the airport. After lots of fancy rabies tests, a microchip, and hundreds of dollars he is all set. (And thanks to Ina for giving me Halle's Giant kennel for his flight!)

With my new camera I will hopefully be a blogging machine over there.

Winter Blues

I dragged Craig up Lost Lake this week on a perfect blue sky day, he is slightly hesitant each time as the hike is pretty steep and he doesn't want his bad-A wifey showing him up all the time.

We didn't have our snowboards so we did some freestylin moves with our bodies instead.

My winter Abercrombie model.

It doesn't get better than this in Seward!
