Here's some great shots of my other kids I take care of.

This is Snowy, a Snowy Owl all the way from Barrow Alaska. She hit an unidentified object and has a broken wing. She is recovering well and hopefully may be able to fly well enough to be released. I worked in Barrow for a summer in 2006, it was an amazing opportunity to see these guys in their natural habitat-they are completely majestic.
Snowy has quite the attitude and wants to hiss and kill you whenever you get near. We keep her mew (enclosure) covered so she doesn't have constant anxiety attacks.
Here's a Short-Eared Owl who also has a broken wing. It won't heal well enough to be able to fly again so I'm sure he will find a wonderful home through one of the Bird TLC volunteers and become an ambassador for his species. This guy is very inquisitive and likes to be included in all the daily gossip between the Bird TLC staff..he sits by the door and eavesdrops.
This is Electro Bird. This Bald Eagle is a complete miracle. He was electrocuted and has the biggest exit/entry wounds on his body the size of my fist. The Director of Bird TLC, Cindy Palmatier gave this guy a few days to live, she's seen cases like this before and normally their internal organs are fried and they never make it.
Well, Electro bird had his up and downs but 3 weeks on he's going strong. Amazing. He is the cutest baby ever, he chats to you whenever you walk by and he is always completely ravenous for his food. He also likes to play with his water bowl and tips it over as soon as possible in his freshly cleaned and dried mew. I have found that 3 rocks in the bowl defeats this fun little game.

This is a Peregrine Falcon, he came in with a funky wing which seems to be healing slowly. This guy is very quiet and mysterious but I often catch him spying on us. I think he likes to be involved but wouldn't ever admit it.

I call this Peregrine 'Houdini' as even with a busted wing he's still got some serious moves. He likes to fly all around the mew and climb up the roof and door when you are trying to catch him.

This is Petra who has been with Bird TLC a long time. She is an adult Bald Eagle who demands nothing but respect so don't F*** with her. She is an amazing educational bird and I can only dream to have her on glove one day.

Here I am with a Great Horned Owl thats in the educational program. His right wing was broken deeming his unreleasable.

Living in Alaska we get to see these gorgeous birds, the Trumpetor Swans during their spring and autumn migration. This is my favourite part of the drive to Anchorage when I get to scream at Craig and say 'awwwww..Oooooooo.look at the swannies babeee'

These guys raised 3 babies this year..how cool!
