The snow has more than arrived in Seward! Its crazy how different the estate looks all bald with no leaves on the trees.
Our little snow angel still demands a daily walk though, I wish he would be a winter-pansy and just beg to stay inside when it drops under 30'F
So we head off down our road....
and I realise how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place with my two fav boys.
The Alaska Railroad runs right behind our house and its a good place to walk Saebo as he can run free like the wind. Hearing the big train 'Choo Choos' is exciting too! (Though not as cool when it's at 2am)

gorgeous pictures Amy! And Saebo has gotten so big! xo
Hi Amy,
Found my way via Ina's blog. You take great photos. I'm really enjoying your blog.Congratulations on the arrival of your nephew. Love the birds--very cool. I found a red tail hawk this summer--he fledged too soon--parents no where in sight. Brought him to a bird rehabilator--I know nothing about birds. We put him in my dog crate to transport him. He took a huge chunk out of my finger--stupid me.
Burning question, how on earth did you end up in Alaska from the UK??? Saebo is a love. We had three boxers long ago. Thanks for the wonderful photos.
Paula in Conn.
P.S. Those are the biggest freakin fish I've ever seen on Craig's business site!!!
Amy,
So sorry I forgot to say hope you are feeling better! That was quite the wreck. You know a man truly loves you when you bash the crap out of his vehicle and he's only concerned about you and not the deductible. (Been there.) You guys make a really cute couple.
Regards,
Paula
Hi Paula, thanks for your lovely comments! I'm feeling better everyday now!
I came to Alaska over 5 years ago to work at the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward. I love to travel so it was a good way to get to Alaska!
Though, I never thought I would end up making it my home-I met Craig at the wrong time as I was heading to Australia to live for a while but we knew we had something good so I came back for him! It feels like my home now though I will never be able to hide my accent.
Glad you like our blog! Have you been to AK? you should come up next summer and try to catch a giant halibut yourself!
Paula you would love going on a fishing trip on the Prodigy!!!
Amy,
Thank you for the warm welcome. That is a great story about you and Craig--very romantic. Life is funny. I truly believe everything happens for a reason.
I've never been to Alaska, but it is on my list of places to visit before I die--not that I plan on checking out soon! I would love to book a fishing trip with Craig. My husband and I went deep sea fishing at Cape Cod, Mass. this past summer, but let me tell ya, the fish don't compare to the monsters you guys catch! How the heck do they get so big??? LOVE HALIBUT--YUMMY!
Ina said you two may be coming to NJ in Jan. If so, I loved to meet up with you in NYC. Please post more lovely photos. Thanks again for the nice welcome! Hope Craig is home for Thanksgiving!
