So my snowboard has been calling to me the last few weeks..trouble is the ski resort is 1.5 hours away and costs mucho mullah. I've been nagging my mates to go for a backcountry hike but its hard to get people motivated!
I finally tricked my friend Tamera to go up Tiehacker with me, its a steep quick accent through the trees which sucks the life out of you when you have a board strapped to ya back. I curse the thing then forget the pain for 3 mins of bliss powder.
It was Tamera's first time up the mountain so she had a smile on her face when she checked out the view...you should see it on a sunny day!
This was me after making my first tracks of the season, I had one slight tumble when I went off a small ledge to be greeted by some bushes beneath-Still lots to be covered up, but it was some sweet powder!
Can you spot Tamera in this pic coming down? Its like Where's Wally?
