We made it across the pond, and surprisingly they let Craig through immigration. Though he did get in trouble at customs trying to take pictures.
After a good nights sleep in my old bed we headed to Petworth Park, a lovely old estate from the mega rich which is actually bordered by a brick wall (to keep the commoners out) around 700 acres of property. You can read more about it at :
http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-petworthhouse The main reason for heading there was for Craig to see the deer of our country-though he's not allowed to shoot them. There are hundreds of them within the estate so you are guaranteed to see them, Craig was very surprised and thrilled.
It's a beautiful place to walk around with hundreds of old oak trees everywhere...
After all that walking we needed a beer so we headed to the White Hart in Stopham, Such a cute little pub next to an ancient bridge that they only stopped using as the main road is 1986!
Craig and his first proper English Pint.
Mumsie and me.
It's so nice being home, I forget what a special place England is and seeing it through Craig's foreign eyes makes me appreciate it so much more. He is passed out asleep with jet-lag and over-stimulation, we both made it till about 6pm tonight then couldn't survive without a nap.
