I Heart Birds.

I did some birding around Potters Marsh on Wednesday morning..you'll be very sad to hear all the pictures are still in the 35mm format so there will be a slight delay in the presentation of my fine wildlife photography skills.

We had a super deliciocious dinner with Ron, Craigs Dad on Wednesday evening. Now I know where Craig inherited his ability to never pose for a photo.

On Thursday I got to go play with the raptors at the Bird TLC facility in Anchorage, somehow I managed to worm my way into the vet checks on all the birds..and I got to hold an Osprey! It was slightly overwhelming seeing all these awesome birds, most of them had amputated wings and feet from hitting man-made structures, a beautiful Snowy Owl was shot in the wing and will never fly again :(

Great-horned Owl-

Bald Eagle called 'Petra'

I'm going to volunteering here every tuesday and wednesday so I can get my bird fix for the time-being-I'm so freagin stoked! The Osprey below had to have his left wing amputated from the elbow, he will have to become an educational bird so hopefully I will get to train him in the future.

Back to Seward now after a nice break in the big city! Craig's training course went really well (He was voted Class Leader and got a gift certificate..hoot hoot!) He'll be heading up to the North Slope here probably in the next couple of days. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to cope without my partner-in-crime away for 2 weeks at a time but gotta think about the money! I'm going to miss you baby.
