Lets climb a mountain!

Today started off innocent enough, I slept in after staying up too late watching 'The Departed'.

It was a beautiful sunny morning-which most of you know is a rare occasion in Seward. I decided to take advantage of this rare occasion and take Saebo for a hike half way up Mt Alice, my fav local spot.

Well we got half way and I decided it wasn't quite good enough, I was looking at the new fresh snow above me and thought-lets go play on the snow Saebo!

We started hiking, taking lots of pics along the way and I got really hungry, my fake costco granola breakast wasn't cutting it and unfortunately I'd only packed an apple and a 100 calorie snack bar. I consumed these items and even considered trying Saebo's delectable Wellness Doggie Bites until I read liver in the ingredients.

We ventured on, I'm too stubborn to give in so we finally reached snow! It was on a rather steep gradient (See pick above) and the snow wasn't as fun when its on sharp shaly rocks. Saebo was being a rockstar so I thought lets just continue over this steep hill and see whats there.

Well, I almost passed out when I got to the top and saw the most amazing views all around me, Godwin Glacier, the valleys, the peak of Mt Alice, its perhaps the most breathtaking view I'd ever seen before.

Saebo and I did our nutter dance in the snow and threw snowballs at each other, though he sucks at it.

The 4 hour adventure was definitely worth it...

Back home now and the little trooper is passed out like a rock while snoring like a rockstar. I couldn't pick between all the pictures so here they all are!
